Stupa Park

In deference to the client’s vision, each stupa has been meticulously designed to embody a different century’s architectural style. We diligently sourced authentic building bricks from original quarry locations to ensure historical fidelity. All stupas are constructed from these genuine materials, thoughtfully reinforced with modern concrete frameworks for durability.

The largest stupa has been elegantly transformed into an air-conditioned meditation hall. This transformation was executed with great care, ensuring that all modern amenities, including the air conditioning systems, remain discreetly concealed.

In total, eight stupas grace the park, including one uniquely situated on an island, which can be accessed via a charming bridge.

Architectural Details of Authentic Building Bricks for Thai Stupas

Historical Authenticity and Sourcing:

  • Quarry Locations: To maintain historical accuracy, the bricks were sourced from traditional quarry sites known for supplying materials for ancient Thai architecture, such as Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Nakhon Pathom
  • Material Composition: The bricks are typically composed of a mix of clay, sand, and silt, similar to those used in historical Thai stupas, ensuring that the texture and durability align with ancient standards.
  • Manufacturing Process: Traditional brick-making techniques were employed, including hand-molding and sun-drying, followed by kiln firing, which mirrors the methods used centuries ago.

In the Stupa park area, six guest villas are thoughtfully arranged around a tranquil lake, providing a peaceful and reflective retreat. The design of the villas emphasizes natural materials and a harmonious connection with the landscape. A modern Buddhist temple near the entrance adds a spiritual dimension to the architectural ensemble.
